Valens

Take a look at the Valens news release.

Valens News Release
Comment by LastoftheFranks on Jan 20, 2021 11:23am
I mentioned this a few months back on here. The issue with CO2 is speed. 'Croptober" savings weren't going to show up on Valens balance sheet until late Q1/Q2 due to the biomass they had already acquired which at the time was great prices and by the end was grossly overvalued.  The oil glut is in premium priced products and price collapse has happened so rapidly that formerly ...more

Why is oils taking such a hammering I wonder
Comment by KTMFan387 on Jan 20, 2021 12:18pm
VLNS news dragging us down I guess?  I've bought a bit more of VLNS at $2.39 and OILS at $0.29 today.  Dips are always opportunities, so load up while they're cheap!

Valen's release is a wet blanket for the sector and I'm sure a horrendous harbinger for what's coming down the pipe for the lesser extractors. However, Nextleaf is not in that boat. While others find equillibrium through write-downs Nextleaf just needs to find clients. Q4's financials should give a clear idea of the COGS advantage over competitiors is. Their toll processing ...more

The way most of OILS contracts are built actually puts it at risk of writedowns. The fact OILS is taking distillate as payment and croptober (which YOU mentioned) is coming in (lots of oils stashed in nxtlf inventory) will most probably lead to write downs. Simple supply/demand math. Y'all just spouting alot of stuff about nxtlf being efficient/profitable and pumping news about it's first ...more

People realizing financials due in two weeks will burn this to the teens. Smart people sold near 0.40 while all the crazies were high on fumes and actually thinking (not even hoping) this was gonna blow .50 and reach a buck. The next two weeks are gonna be brutal. For dreamers holding some heavy bags, this was your opportunity to sell high and buy back in low. Not that it would change your fate ...more

I'm sure glad I shorted Medipharm Kawabonga.  I made lot's of cash from those who believed Iscfa's pumping the price over there from over $5- all the way down to .50 cents.  Thanks Kawabonga and Iscfa, it was all too easy.$$$$$$$
Comment by Kawabonga on Jan 20, 2021 12:53pm
Love striking those cords. You hurt because you missed opportunity to lighten your bags? Boohoo. Better sell above 25 before those bags become unbearable again.
Comment by Keepthedodoaliv on Jan 20, 2021 1:27pm
I've been trading over 30 years.  I don't buy into hype, all those that do are suckers.  I take profit when I can and use a percentage of profit to roll the dice, take profit again, rinse and repeat.  It's just a game to me, so don't waste your time trying to rattle me.   I still can't figure out why anyone would waste their time bashing boards.  ...more

I have nothing to do with medipharm or iscfa and i roll the same way you do. I have interest in vlns. Stealth was pumping nxtlf all over the place and well, I was waiting for oils to drop some of the gains it made on thin air to come back and reality check this board. I told ya, keep that b*tch on a leash or I'll be back. That's a big drop and it's just starting.
Comment by Keepthedodoaliv on Jan 20, 2021 1:52pm
By now, almost 2 years later.  I don't think anyone is too much into the hype any more.  The entire sector is a roll of the dice.  Personally, I'm not surprised by the drop. Good luck to you.
Comment by DonRudy on Jan 20, 2021 1:54pm
I think I'm following?  Stealth trolled a message board of a stock you're invested in and "struck a cord" with you. From there you decided to open a new account, follow a stock to troll on down days and openly spew threats regarding a random poster of the board....? strange times.

Stockwatch commentary on Valens inventory selloff: "Here in Canada, Cannabis 2.0 producer The Valens Company Inc. (VLNS) lost 29 cents to $2.46 on 2.13 million shares, after talking up a "strategic decision" on a "strategic initiative." Experienced investors will know those to be warning words. Indeed, Valens went on to explain that, in order to "clear ...more
Comment by LastoftheFranks on Jan 21, 2021 8:59am
These issues will persist so long as they continue to use CO2 as their primary extraction methedology in a collapsing price environment. Toll processing has been abandoned as they cannot compete with either competitors in-house CO2 extraction or alternative bulk processing services.  Shifting to manufacturing high margin products was a smart move and they can be profitable with batch ...more
