It's easy to tell why people are dropping this stock; it is because people have made a 3-4x gain on the stock and are taking profits. These are big players likely working for a firm could be cashing in before year-end.
To the people saying people are shorting this stock so they can buy more, that does not make sense and shows your inability to understand the stock market.
I would like to also comment that the person that said nextleaf cleared up their government debt; that is also incorrect. Read the balance sheet accurately before posting (line 3).
I am disappointed with how they structured their last-quarter financials, specifically the prepaid expenses (220k). While prepaid expenses are great for the company, it really hurt the bottom line by doing this. If they held this as "income" and paid their bills later, this stock would've gone bananas.
There is one person on this page, and I won't state names because his information is incorrect more times than not, but he does have a very good explanation on the classification of marijuana as a drug for the United States. If this bill does get passed, not only will revenue go up, but their patents or on their balance sheet "intangible assets" will get a huge bump. Therefore, increasing the stock price.
That being said, this stock is a diamond in the rough, but it will be a rocky road ahead. Their next quarter they are not going to have quarter-over-quarter revenue growth. You can see that in their own projections on their chart. Consequently, if net income does not increase, the sellers will have too much downward pressure for the buyers to keep up the stock price.
All this does not matter though if you are long-term holders like most of you say you are. The sell pressure is not over and likely won't be done for months. This stock is well worth the investment, even at the price of 0.13 cents. If you believe in the company like I do, keep adding to your bags like a savings account for the next year. You will not regret it.
