Buyback and Rogers silence

Quinsam should administer a massive buyback initiative to drastically increase shareholder value even if it costs a bit of money to do so. If true NAV is at a major discount even dividends should be cancelled and pushed into stock buy backs as it's a more efficient return of capital to the shareholder anyway in the form of tax sheltering.

I would love to see the performance for the next quarter, with HMMJ up around %50 since September 30th it will be interesting to see if Roger has either completely scammed everyone and he's just taking in more shares and granting himself options to gain more and more control.

To me his silence is becoming deafening and shareholders are getting fed up with the absolute garbage PR this company has.

Agreed. I do like seeing the positive buying action without M Partners leading the bid and did get more at .10 . If they start buying back during a bullish run, helping the break out and a pump, I would understand the play/silence. Roger could easily pump this to a 3X from here. If he wanted to. So I'm hoping he sees a bigger play/payoff. He seems like a chart guy. Maybe he's creating his ...more

If there's one thing he is it's most likely very smart and experienced. His time in the game knows patience is the true payer, besides if NAV grows then the share price will have to climb, I do think he's just sweetening his own holdings and options betting on a bull run.

As someone pointed out, it's the general markets and liquidity events which will elevate the NAV/sh even further than the .30/sh posted as at Sept 30.   Huge increase in Cannabis stock prices in general.  It stands to reason that stateside, the market is gearing up for smaller co's to enter the market. When those come to fruitition, it would not surprise me to see our ...more

Have patience, shareholder since octobre 2017...traded those shares nicely but was in 25c PP...you said patience

@420mtrl if you think three years is patience you're not an investor.

I'd appreciate if you stopped coming here and being reasonable... seriously though, finding these value plays are extremely long term when they're small cap plays.  I love that fact that we are debt free and Roger runs a tight ship cost wise.

Thx 420   Too bad.  MM

They can buyback more then 5% but it's something called a circular bid and has to be executed in a single day with a large lump sum. And that's assuming that the bid price even fills.
Comment by mercedesman on Dec 07, 2020 9:44pm
I say we wait til Q4 results and two US liquidity events (.44? NAV/SH). Then, when no one notices again,   execute a bunch of circular bids until there is is just Roger and six shareholders on SH left. Once completed the NAV per share will be .92 and the share price, .16. Then liquidate all positions and payout a special dividend! Easy-peasy!  MM

Just wondering, how would the company get the cash to do such a large buyback of shares?
Comment by mercedesman on Dec 08, 2020 11:23am
Illustrative example using rounded figures: Starting Portfolio value $ 30M, shares o/s 100M  NAV/sh .30  SP .10 NAV/sh = .30  ($30M/100M) Portfolio increases in value by $ 10M  to $ 40M (33% increase not outrageous given current Cannabis market increases and a few liquidity event hits stateside or otherwise) Liquidate $ 10M of the portfolio (ie convert to cash). Buy-back ...more
