Why I think approval will be on Nov 4.
I'm not sure why people think the 40 days have passed and what the panic is. Here are the facts. Aug 25 - clinical in-field results Sep 29 - Article stating Sona submitted it's application to HC about 3 weeks ago. That would put the application date to Sep 8. https://www.thechronicleherald.ca/news/local/halifax-covid-testing-company-encouraged-by-federal-commitment-503493/ Sep 8 plus 40 business days (excluding Thanksgiving which was a public holiday) is Nov 4.

thanks for posting this... it's hard to wait, but if HC says 40 days, I guess it's gonna be 40 days... they must be swamped, on the other hand, under pressure to approve more tests and testing options, so unlikely to go much past 40 days...

I thought it was 55 days total. There is a 2 week period to acknowledge the HC application then the clock starts on the 40 days. That's the target. Can't tell you why SD Bio has been there since July.

A few months back when things were flying high I noticed Darren would answer an email within hours. Now I haven't had a response in two weeks. For some reason some companies seem to think it is in their best interest to stay silent, keep a lid on it.
