Cypress Cutoff is 900 ppm Li.

Prefeasibility Study for Clayton Valley Lithium Project, Nevada

Highlights of Prefeasibility Study:

  • Average production rate of 15,000 tonnes per day to produce 27,400 tonnes lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) annually over a +40-year mine life.
  • Lithium Carbonate price of $9,500 per tonne.
  • Capital cost estimate of US$493 million, pre-production and operating cost estimate averaging US$3,329 per tonne LCE.
  • After-tax net present value (NPV-8%) of US$1.052 billion at 8% discount rate and 25.8% internal rate of return (IRR).
  • Production based on Probable Mineral Reserve of 222 million tonnes averaging 1,141 ppm Li (1.353 Mt LCE) based on a cut-off grade of 900 ppm Li.
  • Reserves and production plan derived from Measured and Indicated Mineral Resources of 593 million tonnes averaging 1,073 ppm Li (3.387 Mt LCE).

Cypress CEO Dr. Bill Willoughby stated "This PFS is a major milestone for Cypress. These positive results take us closer to our goal of developing a world-class lithium deposit.  Cypress’ land position and resources afford us the opportunity for a long-life project with low operating costs and potential to be a significant source of lithium for the United States.”

There is not one viable, producing lithium from clay operation in the entire world because there does not exist technology to extract lithium from clay.  Which pretty much makes this an exercise in ... hype and promotion.

The 900 PPM is from one study.  That does not mean is is neceasarily indictitve of what is to come once the process is ful;ly developed..  Plus thats an average right   Looking at the average for what CYP has is around 1062 PPM.  So the drill holes from SPMT are not far off.  Far from what you would call waste. LOL I know you are not feeling the lithium project Kozmo ...more

Comment by KozmoT on Nov 25, 2020 12:35pm
What!? They had one hole avg 835ppm, one hole avg 642ppm and one at 772 ppm.  That is an average of 750 ppm Li - that's 150 ppm BELOW the BOTTOM cutoff grade for other plays. And I got those numbers right in the blurb YOU posted!  That's like the other guy claiming the cutoff wasn't the 900 ppm figure but was 300 ppm and suporting it by posting the link to the NR that clearly ...more

I never claimed anything about 300 PPM. But yes, i looked at some of the surrounding porojects to understand it more. The grade is 80% of CYP's total drill program.   I counted 27 drill holes in CYP's program.  SPMT has three drilled, so the potential is there is all i'm saying guys. BEM is getting his panties all in a twist just trying to talk lol

And also i am not trying to convince you Kozmo.  I relaize you havre your feeluings about the lithium project.    I am just stating what i see from it.  Also the latest drill holes that CYP was able to expand the project size and resource were down towards the south near SPMT property which were higher grade holes which is a good sign with higher graded trending towards the ...more
