If they set up a production facility in China, the product formula and trade secrets are a goner.  It would only be a matter of time before an identical made-in-China cheaper product dominates the Chinese markets.  Don't think patents or trademarks will save your investment.  They are not enforceable in China's court system.  Good luck trying to sue in a chinese court.&
