TAAT Zero - The China Formula
I think that TAAT Zero is developed for China. That's the main reason. If that is the case then I strongly believe we'll see some kind of deal with China Tobacco and I think it could happen sooner than we think. They've been working on the Zero concept for some time, Debbie has probably also been involved in the talks and the new product/biomass is basically ready. This is one of the smartest moves they've done since the beginning. To start and build the TAAT brand in China and maybe other parts of Asia as well is really clever. It would be a total gamechanger. Maybe this was also what Setti talked about some time ago (think it was like end of 2021) when he said he expected something that, if it happened, would become "transformational" for TAAT. I have been mentioning this before. We could be talking a MEGA DEAL here. If they get a licensed production of TAAT Zero in China the Chinese will take care of the rest regarding marketing and sales and as we all know the Chinese guys are pretty fast not matter what they do. TAAT will probably need to file for patent protection in China if the biomass is to be produced there.
The Chinese smokers (over 320 million of them) likes smoking and hava a long smoking tradition. Tobacco cessation products have so far had a hard time in China. The deeper cause of the tobacco cessation industry’s poor performance, however, is the lack of awareness and desire for smokers to quit in the first place. Fewer than 25 percent of Chinese adults understand the specific health hazards of tobacco use. Additionally, fewer than 10 percent of Chinese smokers quit by choice, in comparison to over 50 percent in many high income countries where there are more ex-smokers than smokers. The Chinese government has began to think about people's health and has done som regulations and regulations. But on the other hand they make a sht load of money on their cigarette sales.
Today China Tobacco doesn't have anything like TAAT. If they did I think it would be much easier for the government to promote a more healthy smoking and give people a better alternative. While the government could still make a lot of money selling TAATs people/workers health would improve, so it's a win-win for the government. It would also be easier for people to switch from tobacco cigarettes to TAATs than to switch to e-cigarettes and/or other cessation products.
"The top three reasons that Chinese adult smokers reported for never having tried e-cigarettes were: ‘I do not want to quit smoking’ (35.35%), ‘I do not think they would help me quit or cut down’ (24.31%), and ‘I am not addicted to smoking and don't need help to quit’ (14.93%). Other prominent reasons included: ‘I am concerned they are not safe enough’, and ‘I do not want to substitute one addiction for another’. Generally, there were no statistically significant associations between reasons why smokers never tried e-cigarettes and demographic and socioeconomic characteristics."
Well, I could be wrong but the way I see it TAAT Zero is developed mainly for China.
Joe talked an awful lot about China in his recent videos and that he was there and met with China Tobacco.
Sooner or later this will happen.
Like Joe says: Stay tuned guys!
