not sure how effective it would be. But if you list your Shares for sale at Let's say 40 or 50 cents there is the belief that there is less chance of your shares being loaned out for shorting. Just remember as the price goes up to move Ask price up, However I'm sure most would be happy with .50

I guess on some investment platforms you may have to do it every day but I just put mine to expire in a month and just do it monthly
