Excellent results...

I will look in more detail at the drilling data later this week. One thing is for certain, there is plenty of gold at El Picacho. A 100 meter step out from historic gold workings suggest a robust low grade (or should I say getting higher grade) system is there for the finding. This is just one of several high priority target areas. I have heard that the locals are all talking about El Picacho and how it has been the attention of many people over the last 60 years.

Highlights

  • 100 metre Step-out, Hole SRA-22-010 returned 44.2 metres of 0.6 g/t Au, from 41.2 metres depth
    • including 12.2 metres of 2.0 g/t Au and 7 g/t Ag
    • including 3.1 metres of 7.6 g/t Au and 9 g/t Ag
  • Hole SRA-22-008 returned 16.8 metres of 0.5 g/t Au, from 21.4 metres
    • including 4.6 metres of 1.8 g/t Au and 6 g/t Ag
  • Best Result to Date in Step-out furthest from Historic Mine Workings and Surface Outcrop
  • All drill holes contain quartz veining and alteration associated with robust mineralized systems
  • 300 metres of Strike Tested with First Phase of Drilling, confirms exploration model of at and near-surface oxide gold mineralization connected to underground workings

It looks like it was written by IR rather than those who produced the underlying technical report. The report was held up 3 months and finally placed on SEDAR January 5 2023. I would guess that the regulators had some points that had to be ...more

StanOs, funny you appear here only recently joined Stockhouse and generally only posting a few times in a few companies, most of which is negative. How did you come to find out about Tocvan now that you know the ins and outs of good plays, so why bother being here?

lifegoeson, I have been doing research for years. I think both Pilar and Picachio are interesting projects with good potential. The nearest operating mine, San Francisco lost over $13million over the first three quarters of 2022. As far as I can tell it never was a big money maker. They were producing ore with a grade of over 0.5g/t Au. So, basing Picacho on the economics of San Francisco is not ...more

StanOs, all you need to do is review my posting history in Stockhouse, I bought Tocvan in 2020 at average $0.18, about as far from a day trader as you can image. As for the success of Tocvan, time will tell, I know where my bet is, i.e., Pilar gong to production and El Picacho eventually a multi-million oz area wide resource. Each property is different, so comparisons are only valid when proven in ...more
