Defending this Halifax mushroom deal and not one has answered any of the white elephant questions put out there.

This company has been around for just a year and is operating in a small industrial stripmall that has many units. They are in unit "B". What looks like the largest unit, in the front to the left, would most likely be unit "A". To me, it doesn't look like unit "B" would be big enough to have any kind of scale.

Regardless of that, they could scale up I suppose. To grow and/or ship MAGIC, how much security do you think would be required? I don't see it at this location.

So I guess the big question is, what do you plan on paying to get 80% of a startup operation that would require a new location to scale up and provide the security that would be required by regulators?

Thanks in advance.

Good god what an utterly moronic post. To all fellow TRIP shareholders, replying to people like this, who must either be paid bashers or simply too addled to discourse with normally functioning adults has become too vexing and time consuming for me.  So I will let someone else either reply or you can just ignore it, and same goes for any other posts like this in the future. I can't be ...more

I don't think they would have to pay much at all. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a $200,000 deal but all will be revealed as they make progress and close this deal.  We don't know if they own their current location or just lease it. My gut is that they lease it. There are lots of variables when aquiring an up and running business. Letting them keep 20% means they keep some ...more

Thanks for that guesstimate of $200,000. That might be reasonable if the growers are worth it. I would have thought RLH's own growers would end up calling the shots though. With an almost $100m market cap, $200,000 is a small investment if the value is there, I'd like that value to be transparent and listed is all. The 80% buy money going in to the founders is important. At $200,000, not ...more

Unless HappyCaps has a ton of revenue (I assume not) and this deal cost millions I would be upset too.  My guess on cost is the assumption that they don't own the location and the tangible assets of the company would be minimal.  I assume this is just a share sale with some bluesky paid base on 3 to 5 times annual net income. But we will all have to wait and see. Let the accountants ...more
