New Partnership
FYI: Promo email below from CCI re Blockstrain, mentions Shoppers DM. CCI is excited to announce a new partnership with BLOCKStrain Technology Corp. who were introduced to us by Shoppers Drug Mart. The BLOCKStrain technology platform serves two main purposes: 1. Tracking and protecting genetics - The company is creating a global registry for genetics which will be tracked through a blockchain enabled software platform. 2. Online booking platform and database for lab tests and lab results - Consider the platform the Expedia of Labs. Licence Holders can select from a number of licenced labs, choose the tests they would like performed and submit an order. Then ALL test results are posted and stored in the platform and linked to each individual product through a dynamic verification seal and QR code. There are a number of advantages for licence holders to use such a platform: Protect your genetics Verify new genetics being introduced are in fact what they claim to be Quickly and effectively book lab tests without having to fill out paperwork Easily store and maintain lab test results The CCI QR team watched a demo of the platform and provided some great feedback - This will add value to CCI's clients. The software gives reassurance for product compliance and helps mitigates risk of releasing of out-of- spec batches. If companies implement a software like this and enforce it, it will save them a lot of hassle.

Maybe. Or something in the works, perhaps not finalized yet. Would be odd to provide a referall to CCI if there wasn't something going on.

I like this point you made: "The biggest LPs will likely be the last to follow because frankly, they benefit from the current system the most. " So true! HC should be recognizing this.
