M23 Seek To Control Mining

M23 is after mining resources it can control and extract funds from. The civil war is about this and reprisal for the 94 Rwanda genocide. Know your history. TTX connection to DRC is dependant on security. The area they operate in is becoming less stable.

You think that's maybe what happened to the missing tantalum? - it was stolen by this warring faction. Wonder if they managed to fit it all in one pickup load.  I re-read the NR and the headline clearly states they exported tantalum yet in the entire body of the NR they fail to disclose ANY numbers whatsoever.  That does not bode well. Things in the region have recently become less stable. I think it's likely they could not export the tantalum because it could not be proven conflict free. It could also have been taken by Mai Mai or seized by corrupt officials. It's unusual the company has not explained why none was exported. TTX should let share holders know. Wild Wild West.

The strange thing is that investors don't even know if it was exported or not. The NR headline claims it was exported but the text suggest it wasn't, as there is no mention of it at all.  That they failed to disclose or subsequently clarify what happened to the Ta is a very bad sign.

Agreed. It's very unusual that no numbers were released. Says they exported tin, but no mention of the tantalum. Honestly, if this company was not so thinly traded I would short it. Only 14000 shares currently short; about $300 bucks. Thats nothing.

Keep in mind there are many Mai Mai groups. Many militias. But in the region TTX operates there have been less than a dozen active. Not counting the very small groups.
