FLT news which could/should benefit UAV

Unless I am mistaken, this is the first commercial BVLOS pilot project in Canada.

This should make it easier for UAV to get the green light / support from Transport Canada for a pilot under similar conditions (remote areas).

guess they had that market cap for a reason. so many people bashing flt and comparing it to uav. toyota deal and now this. getting left behind in this sector and it's testing my patience. sorry for being a downer.

Compared to FLT, uav is pocket lint imho. The market values them much higher for a reason. Me thinks UAV needs new leadership so this sector doesn’t leave them in the dust too. Even DVR is making deals with bigger players. Come on UAV.....accomplish something bigger. Please

Well there is the financing. When is the Reverse Split? Soon? The ones acting like this raise is a good thing and that the insiders won’t ever sell shares blah blah blah are idiots. How much of the million may go to the insiders is anyone’s guess. Financials in 4 or five months will reveal the reality and the reality in my humble opinion is financials have been getting better but are irrelevant ...more

Guessing we see .06 within the next week or two. Maybe lower. Certainly aren’t making any moves currently that will boost shareprice. I only see shareholder unfriendly accomplishments currently. Others may see it different but the sea of red is a pretty good indicator of what the overall market thinks.

The pp is spoken for this was a move that had to happen . They are developing military grade hardware and this will help fill their first orders in the security market

JC: This commercial pilot is undoubtedly an important step forward for FLT but there is a long road ahead of them to live up to / justify their $270,000,000 market cap.   In the end it’s all about potential upside and I simply see better odds of UAV doubling their current $9,000,000 market cap than FLT doubling theirs.   The nice part ... These two companies are not competing. Any ...more

I agree kidl2.  It is the reason I'm invested in UAV now instead of in FLT. While they aren't competing, there is an overlap of techinical skills.   I wouldn't be shocked to see FLT buy UAV at some point down the road.
Comment by denari on Jun 02, 2018 10:26am
hi JosephK, FLT will not be buying UAV at any point in the future. Tony Di Benedetto has talked down this part of the drone space. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQsaKeeatEg Listen from 1:35- 1:55 specifically. The whole interview is good to listen to to help understand the drone sector a little better. This post is not to bash, its just to add clarity for investors that are investing with hopes ...more

denari: Tony is an excellent promoter who knows how to talk his own book. His boss, Buzbuzian who has a large following in spite of his anything but perfect track record, is even better. Their ability to promote clearly accounts for a sizeable portion of FLT’s MC. As mentioned here before by many, UAV is lacking in this area.   As for Tony making it sound like FLT is the only game in town ...more

denari did make a good point though.  If FLT isn't interested in UAV's business, then we should ignore the possibility of a take over and stick to the fundamentals. FLT may be the big fish in Canada, but they are a small fish in their space worldwide as you pointed out.   I too see them as a heavily promoted stock.   If I recall correctly, they reported a loss ...more

Joseph: The idea of a FLT takeover has been raised before. It didn’t make sense then and it doesn’t make sense now. There are no operational synergies and personally speaking, that’s a very good thing. Maybe there is room for some sort of cooperation on the tech side but that doesn’t justify a takeover scenario.   UAV is still in its infancy. It has a lot of internal growing and ...more
