Confused.

I get the number of shares for iAnthus (.16). What I am confused about is the number of shares for MPX when it switches to international. I heard that it was one share for every ten? If so, how would this make any investor happy unless the share value was around $10? Am I missing something? I don't want to be ripped off. I apologize for my ignorance in advance but I have some concerns.

Because if I bought 1350 shares and now they are 135 at the same price? I will be angrier than hell.

Thoughts? I can't see shareholders taking such a big loss. Am I missing something?

Don't be confused, There are two components here.  #1, IAN is buying MPX.  You are getting paid for your MPX with .1673 shares of IAN for each MPX share.  Based on the prices before the deal was announced, it's roughly a 30% premium for your MPX.     In addition, they are also spinning off their non-US business into MPXI, and issuing those shares to all MPX ...more

Again, you have not answered my question. I am not angry, yet. Happy about my IAN shares. Won't be happy about my MPXI shares if I end up with a hell of a lot fewer shares that are worth the same price that we are sitting at now.

Good day All.... I am confused as well... Here is my understanding, can someone please correct me if I am wrong, and set me straight..... IAN is buying MPX.... they are using a Ratio of .1673 , they are using this number because on the 17th of October when this was put together / announced that was the price  ratio between IAN shares and MPX Shares ... ie..... from a dollar value stand point  ...more

Your math is off dude....10,000 MPX x 0.1673 will equal 1673 shares of IAN...not 167.3...maybe use a calculator
Comment by LongDollars on Oct 20, 2018 11:47am
maybe before you tell someone to use a calculator you should understand the deal yourself - you're %100 wrong. The $1.28 valuation was based on the closing share price of IAN on October 18th of $7.64. They got this valuation of 1.28 by multiplying $7.64x0.1673=$1.278. When the deal is finalized in January (9th I think) you will get that same ratio 0.1673 based on the current share price of IAN ...more
Comment by ADMIRALP on Oct 20, 2018 12:05pm
So am I safe in thinking, as I stated that..... The ratio is 'Based On" the closing share price that day.... ie thats where it came from.... Once the ratio has been established and set as it has.... said ratio is used to determine how many shares of IAN we should receive at the time when MPX ceases to exist? Do you have any insight as to what the SP will be for the New Company MPXI ...more

Wrong Longdollars, but wouldn't your dream scheme be nice...lol...read the NR again, at time of closing of transaction MPX shareholders will receive 0.1673 shares of Ian for every share of MPX they hold...the 30% value was given to $1.28...now both stocks should start trading on par to the agreement, and MPX shares will increase in price as Ian increases in price...at valuation yesterday ...more

My Apologies 'Dude".....  I meant to base it on 1000, to get the 167.3 figure.... but obviously 'YOU" missed the point of my post.... er go........ it's unlikely  "YOU"  will be able to shed any light on the situation.

I'm not yapping at you admiral. Take a seat.
Comment by ADMIRALP on Oct 20, 2018 12:09pm
Actually you are yapping at me, sad that you don't recognize that,  but thats neither here nor there,  I'm not here to pay attention to foolish childishness, I am looking for insight into this upcoming deal.
Comment by bogdansz on Oct 20, 2018 12:39am
The hard truth is that we aregoing to be ripped off if the deal went through
Comment by bogdansz on Oct 20, 2018 12:48am
You don`t have to be a rocket scientist that having 20,000 of MPX shares are more profitable than ( after conversion ) having 2,000 of iAnthus shares. Period
Comment by Blueboots on Oct 20, 2018 1:20am
Well, I disagree. Can you explain in numbers rather than just being arrogant?
Comment by Blueboots on Oct 20, 2018 1:19am
It seems like, maybe.
Comment by Greenchips17 on Oct 20, 2018 10:03am
If the share structure isn’t the same then you won’t get the same amount of shares but it will still be equivalent to the stake you held in mpx.   Dumbed down Example: if you owned 2% of outstanding mpx shares and there were 100 shares outstanding you would have 2 shares. If MPXI had 50 shares outstanding then you would get 1 share and still own 2%.  It doesnt need to equate to the same ...more
