Roland

Anybody who knows anything about this company knows for a fact that Roland has done ZERO to earn his compensation these past 3 years. All he had to do was simple : list on the TSX, Increase the dividend and not give away our cash to all his buddies companies. SIMPLE. A monkey could of done a better job running this company. If that had happened we'd be trading at $4 plus today and likely taken over already. Management doesnt give a crap about shareholders as they have done nothing for 3 years. They don't give a crap about shareholders. Look at these new rules they are trying to adopt to protect there jobs. They know shareholders are pissed off and are worried that they can only drag this scam out a little longer. Absolutely disgusting that there is no "watch dog" to prevent this sort of mismanagement. There is no accountability here and it's very sad to watch. Somebody please explain to me the "job description" of management. What have they done everyday in that office to justify burning all that cash? Not sure how these guys sleep at night. We should have $15 Million more in cash with a dividend double what it currently is while we "wait".

I haven't followed the company, so I don't understand how "we should have $15M more in cash."  And, given what's happened throughout the mining sector, I don't see how $4 share price could reasonably be expected. EVERYTHING has come way down.  I do see that Roland has inked a fair number of exploration/royalty deals, with Golden Dory, Evrim, Avrupa, Gold ...more

I don't doubt that. The CEO is ultimately responsible for the company's performance. When a company performs poorly, shareholders are bound to blame it on the CEO, and the CEO deserves the blame. Roland is no different. While I don't share AARMY's $4 valuation, I do agree that the company is being poorly taken care of. This thing is in some bizarre no-man's land between a ...more

You have good taste, rodric. I think that there's a good contrarian case to be made for Callinan. Here's an income-generating security with a good cash position that pays a dividend. The mining business is in termoil and assets can be had for cheap. We have a manager who knows how to evaluate assets. You've got both income and upside (etc, etc.) It's a fine case - a believeable ...more
