Intrigue and Mystery at Callinan Royalties
The mystery that suggests intrigue involving Callinan Royalties transpired between Sept 20 and Sept 23, 2014, one month before Roland Butler was terminated without cause. I suggest there is likely to be some relationship between the events in September and Roland's leaving. Was this Roland's gift to the company , knowing he was about to be axed to show them how good a CEO they were losing, or a thank you from Roland to the company because termination without cause enabled him to collect some termination payment? Or was this a thank you from Roland to a friend or friends outside the company, knowing he was about to be terminated? Did the board of directors even know about this? Could the close timing of this mystery and the termination have been pure coincidince, or did the board's somehow finding out trigger Roland's termination?
It is very interesting, and most interesting is what the value of this mystery is, if any, as it is now the property of Callinan Royalties.
Between Sept 20 and Sept 22 2014, Callinan Royalites, under the ostensible control of Roland Butler, registered in excess of 5,400 claims in NL. That is a lot of claims, far more than I have ever seen in a month from one prospector, and maybe more than are registered by all prospectors in most months. More interesting is that Callinan Royalties was not primarily known as a prospector. These may be very valuable claims ,and a gift to the company from Roland. Or did Roland, in some way that is allowed, pay the prospectors who brought Roland the information that enabled him to register these claims and if such payments transpired, were they significant?
Very interesting, if not to the stockholders, to a journalist, I would think. What is the story behind all these claims being registered in a short period of time. Could these claims be so good Roland got himself terminated so he would no longer be an insider precluded from buying Callinan stock? I wonder, because if these claims were so wonderful they may not have ended up with Callinan
I have no idea. All I know is an unusally huge number of claims were registered by Callinan Royalties in Sept 2014 and Roland Butler was terminated 30 days later. I think it would be very interesting to learn the story and give credit to the good guy in this story who ever that may happen to be.
