Callinan settles with Hudbay
LMAO, was this all worth fighting over? Did they even recover their court costs? I fail to see any significant benefit in the long run with the new royalty regime on the 777 mine. Which is a mine nearing the end of it's productiion schedule (7 years according to Hudbay). All or most of the capital costs on the 777 had already been encured anyways. They'll probably recover their litigation costs or a modest increase in revenue under the new NSR over the old NPI over the mine life of 777. And if the 777 Deep ever does go into production their NSR will be reduced when and if Bison Gold excercises their back in option. Big winner here - hands down Hudbay.

It might be best for Callinan Royalites to hire Sheldon Inwentash as its new CEO. Inwentash's character should be quite appealing to the Callinan Board of Directors, and it appears Inwentash may soon be in need of a new gig. Canada Moose
