BTSHOOTERS Analysis

Enjoyed your research into CAA.  Looking for more info.  I have been unable to bring the company up on Stockhouse concerning their quarterly dividend.  Also, isn't this sale a little bit premature considering WAR BABY is an unknown commodity.  This whole endeavor appears to be strange.  I have been watching this blog since your post & no one has responded.  I am sure long term steak holders like Muffin etc. are informed of what is happening.  I will be voting NO when the time comes.

Luego,

Walfie

Hi Walfie, I am greatfull for some one that is a shareholder of CAA and not a shareholder of ALS to request more information as I had given up on the total group. First off shareholders of CAA are getting solicited for their vote by phone. Who is doing this, paying for the cost from who's pocket. Secondly if you have not yet received this call when you do ask why there is no independent ...more

BTT Shooter,                        I am a stockholder in Altius but if CAA stockholder got screwed it matters to me and should be a concern if true because the next to get screwed will be an easy guess.     What looks funny to me is the way Callinan fired Roland Butler and quickly settled all their claims very cheaply.   & ...more

Coupla of points..first  i have been phoned in other takeovers...i dont see this as a big deal...second ..isn't glass lewis  an independant firm??  Third as a shareholder of both these cos i think that Altius (as is their habit ) is buying  nearer to the bottom of  the cycle and that CAAshareholders dont lose, but will benefit from their continued exposure thru altius. ...more

WillyK3,             Especially well written post with a good range of insights.   You take the position that settling wtih HB did not give away the house, but rather solidified the assets.  The 3 cheap quickie settlements that Callinan made  including the Hud Bay surrender did indeed solidify the assets.  However the questions still remain and the ...more

Isayada profit.  You state that the Hudbay settlement terms were bad for Callinan because management was clueless.  That is exactly what the perpatrators of that abomination would like for you to believe because that takes them off the hook as incompetence is not actionable.      I suspect that this settlement may have been done to benefit Hudbay.  The better the ...more

Isayada profit    I thinking you are seeing it and missing it.  Altius and Hudbay had separate motivations that relate to their dealings with Callinan.  To find if there is dirt you had best limit yourself to looking at how Hudbay may have manipulated Callinan.    Canada Moose
