Recessions
Sellers are obviously forgetting that recessions to not last forever. Yes, revenue will decline in a recession, but it should recover very well post recession and a corresponding recovery in the share price should occur given the dominant position. Unless they are traders rather than investors ( 1 year +) they will regret their haste. More money is made by buying in a trough when a recession is looming, not when rates are dropping and expansion is on the horizon.

I think it is fair to assume that the sellers are concerned about a potential recession as most regard this as a cyclical equity. Some will attempt to re-enter at the “perfect” time before the upswing. However, in my experience, that is almost impossible. Most times the re-entry occurs at higher prices and lower profits. Good Luck!
