This is expected, but welcome news.
-
Shareholders should make note that Allegiant, Columbus’ spin-out, will carry the AUAU symbol on the TSX.
-
Look for this ticker in your portfolio soon.
-
Recall that Columbus recently raised $12 million, which will enable the new company (with Explorers’ League honoree Andy Wallace at its helm) to start drilling those highly prospective properties in its portfolio almost right out of the gate.
-
As for Columbus itself, even though the company is now formally on the Golden Runway towards First Pour, it’s still early days here.
-
The company will need to raise cash if it’s not bought out by the time it comes to build the mine, which, by the way, we still believe to be a more likely scenario.

End Quote.

News release days they raised 4 million or more but they wanted much more.  So I don't expect a great open with some cgt people dumping.  But I think it is a great opportunity, especially if you can get it under the 60 cents that they raised at from stronger hands. I will watch and buy more on a drop.  I am out of Columbus although now it is an even better value play, I ...more
