"Short sellers are betting that the stock they sell will drop in price. If the stock does drop after selling, the short seller buys it back at a lower price and returns it to the lender. The difference between the sell price and the buy price is the profit."
Would someone please explain how a short seller, or a day trader or a swingtrader could make money on CLAS when daily volume is low, volatility is low/non existant and the liklihood of big news is also low since the company have already  made it very clear what the timeline is going forward. Also following penny pharma stocks in a fading sector you might be aware that promises from the company and expectations are already built into the shareprice so any news that doesn't beat those built-in expectations will have a negative impact on the shareprice.

So the latest short position in this stock is reported at 28,00 as of 2 weeks ago, the highest volume since the split is 161,595 and the daily volatility is low.....how exactly does that make CLAS a target for shorts? I have never shorted a stock in my life but from a trader's perspective this stock is off the radar, no value for a trader or a holder. The only people who have "skin" in this stock are bagholders at this point and could they be  fooling themselves?

So for many posters here that say shorts are keeping this down etc., wouldn't it be possible that bagholders are trying to prop this up, telling Longs to keep on holding and luring new investors in with promises that will not be kept , judged from past history?
CLAS have a huge potential with there R107, no question about it,  many other Pharma companies have miracle products being developed, hundreds of treatments on the approval lists and hopefully many will result in new treatments and cures for disease.

If CLAS is under attack from shorts there must be some way to prove it
