Terms of Friendly takeover?
As a CRJ stock holder and a novice investor I haven't experiences a friendly takeover before. It would seem to me the offer of 0.185 per common share was affective immediately. Hence the immediate rise and subsequent fall of CRJ's stock that paralleled the price of sso’s throughout the day. Am I correct in this assumption or was the offer of .185 given at that time for that price, giving shareholders the option to sell with some sort of grace period?

Your dreaming. Their offer is now only worth 1.44 Loonies. Were almost back where we started with nothing to show for it.
