So i figured id trade penny stocks today

The game was rigged.  I couldn't buy or sell in multiples of anything less than half a cent.
I couldn't fill my sell orders even though the volume was crazy high and my brokerage account was showing the price I wanted to sell at. This went on 3 times for 30mins at a time where im looking at a gain and cant sell

Then when I saw the massive disadvantage, I tried to sell everything at even.  Although my display showed the price was even (actually a little above) it still didnt take the order  for 30min and dropped to .025.

Why would anyone want to trade these stocks given the disadvantage? Is this typical?  I figured with volume liquidity wouldnt be too much of an issue. Any not being able to trade less than half a cent on a penny stock is bonkers.

Contructive advice anyone?

Are you subscribed to anything where you can see the Level 2 action?  You need to be able to see everyones orders to make sense of what did and didn't trade.

I do not.  My feeling is it was trading .031, .032, .033, .034 range never really touching .35 where my sell order was.  The problem is I could only sell at .03 and .035 in that same range. Once it droped below .03 near the end of the day I tried to sell even at .03 (which my account was showing).  It was likely trading .025-.29   (my choice seemed to  be sell at .3 ...more

Tried to warn you people!  It was a very obvious PandD.   The gig was up when CLY made the announcement that they didnt know.it shot up.  That was end of story right there.  All the losers need to hang on to their hairy bags until next year!

deniability for sure is far fetched when Fri it jumped to .035. They would be watching it like a hawk..

These stocks trade at 1/2 cent intervals.  So 25. - 3 - 3.5.  If you aren't with TD then you usually are left holding the bag as TD orders are taken before others when TD is on the other side of the trade...and TD is the biggest volume service in the Canadian market. I can't imagine flying blind while playing this bumps.  I use Stochouse's stockstream service.  $76 ...more
