My Call is for S/P of $57 by September 26th

Based on ex-dividend day of September 27th, BOC no interest rate increase next week and Fed no interest rate increase on September 20th.
Dividend is $.87

Also, CM still pays a dividend of 6.105% at s/p of $57.00.

So far my call is not looking good. The BOC didn't raise rates yet the banks didn't respond? In fact, they have gone down? What forces are at work? Fed meeting on September 20 should help a lot if rates are not raised. Fingers crossed. I'm still hopeful. CM dividend is paying 6.54% on todays closing price. We all know CM will hit the $57 mark again. The question is when? 2023 for sure.

The markets are spooked because the Central Banks fight against inflation is the number one concern, and they have said that further interest rate hikes are still on the table in inflation isn't brought down to 2%. Well, once more data surfaces, as long as rates are kept at these levels, inflation will come down without causing too much damage to the economy. I'm close with builders and ...more

You never know? It might still happen. A very positive few days for banks in general. CM could move up a buck or so in next week and a half. Could get very close to $57.00.
