If CST doesn’t advance in the XPRIZE it will be a massive disappointment resulting from incompetent management pure and simple.  I hope they do advance but I am not holding my breath on it.

I agree. I believe we are going from 23 round 2 finalists down to 10 round 3 finalists, and CST has 8 submissions (2 of their own + 6 partnerships). Who on this board is good at statistical odds :)? Either way, we will find out at 10:15am Monday morning. Best of luck, all.

All that haven t been mentionned in cosia xprize tweets in March are out i think. Also, its a math formula as to who win. Pioneer makes fuels from co2 using co2 tech. Cannot beat that as to how big the market iz, profitable it will be. Cst basically submitted the holy grail app.

I don't care all that much whether CST advances on its own. They aren't really in the business of CO2 reutilization. They are in the business of carbon capture. I hope that several of their entries with a partner advance to the next round and that these ventures evolve into commercial projects. If CST wins a few millions in the contest, of course that would be nice. But I mostly hope that ...more

I hate to break it to you, but re-utilization is their main focus right now via VCQ and XPRIZE.  Not advancing would be a huge black eye.

Well that's kind of true. What is their main focus is to have partners who will do re-utilisation. But CST isn't developing re-utilization technology themselves. And that's what I'm hoping for. I want them to get partners that will do re-utilization of the CO2 that CST will capture. Like what will soon start at St-Felicien. If all their partners of the Carbon X-prize go on to be ...more
