If Trump cancal Iran deal, Alberta project gets a boost as oil prices will stay elevated for years.

Shell just sold all oil sand assets because they want to be less carbon intensive. For the oilsand players there is no other option then to reduce co2 emission. Alberta has no other choice but cst. All is there now for the Alberta project to be concluded.

I dont think you are correct. First, Trump claims to intend to create a new deal. Second, Trump pulling out of the deal does not affect Iran's ability to sell oil on the world markets as the rest of the world is staying in the deal. The US is an oil exporter now, so doesnt need Iranian oil internally. Overall, simply pulling out of the deal will not increase oil prices. It is likely Trump is ...more

I'm not sure what happened to my last message. Anyhow, I don't want a war either. I see other factors keeping oil prices up longer term. Alberta needs to find a solution to their emissions problem and I don't think the oil price has anything to do with lack of action anymore.
