Speaking of which, what is the current carbon capture price at Boundary Dam and does our unit fit into this artist's conception? https://www.estevanmercury.ca/news/local-news/saskpower-reacts-to-future-costs-of-ccs-1.23518999.

I haven't found anything on an exact cost per tonne but I remember reading that they were spending millions per year on OPEX because of amines degradation. Some interesting news out of SK in the last 24 hours about units 4 and 5. If I were in charge, I'd thow the 2nd gen tech on unit 4, and an alternative tech at unit 5 and compare results of both with BD3.  https://www.cbc.ca/news ...more

Their reduced cost is $45USD per tonne: https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/cost-of-capturing-co2-drops-67-for-next-carbon-capture-plant-701415191.html

Lol. Considering that Canada is a world leader in this tech, and that their economy relies on fossil fuels, the lack of a current vision, roll-out strategy and roadmap for CCS in Canada is astounding.

On the plus side Trudeau needs this as a core election issue.  If only he hadn't blown the money and his credibility on Kinder Morgan....how lame was that? It would be like Nancy Kerrigan breaking her own leg, WHY WHY?
