Given Premier Clark's resolve to permit 8 new coal mines and 9 expansions and pulling regulation and regulator jobs and the public spotlight on unanimous local government concern about a historically flawed and wanting environmental review and oversight process, turning down Raven just days after her election "victory" couldn't be more politically motivated.  Raven will serve as the flagship for a "worldclass" environmental review process, as CEC has been claiming.
