WOW

Wow that is brutal.  I looked through appendix A.  No one said getting a mine approved is easy, it isn't and it shouldn't be.  That said I have to say I am surprised that a company so closely tied to CUM was deficient in their application is so many areas (114 pages worth).  With the political climate so favorable I would be very surprised if they don't address these issues and re-submit.  I don't think they have any other choice.  I would fire TAPICS immediately if he isn't gone already and replace him with someone competent.  Obviously he isn't the guy for the job.  This is a good coal resource here and it would be a shame for this company and it's shareholders to just walk away after so much time, effort and money.

For those who are against this project because of the environmental impact, have a look through appendix A.  Like I said before it the company is able to address all the environmental concerns you need not be opposed to this mine because the environment will be well protected as it should be.  There can be a balance between mining and the enviroment.  We have come a long way with technology and it is 2013 peeps.  Don't worry so much.  I live behind a lead/zinc smelter which has almost zero emissions.  50 years ago trees didn't even grow here.  Now it is lush and green with the smelter employing 1100 people.  The average wage is about 75,000 per year.  There can be balance.
