Crius Energy Trust Tr Unit > Shorts....shorts......shorts...?

Shorts....shorts......shorts...?

Shorts are over the place again...can't win! how they can smell the blood somewhere? I read carefully every line in the last quarter result, I did not find anything is seriously negative except the payout ratio rising (80%) and cash low margin is shrinking. And I expect the NCIB would roll out as soon as possible when management mentioned it recently.
Unfortunately, Easy said than done, there is nothing happened so far except a few drops from insiders. I believe there is a problem with Cash flow that not allows a buy back program immediately. Beyond that, there is no other factors can play out, because of no plan of expansion,no new development, no acquisition......so far....
I wish I can be in KWH accounting department to find out if cie generates enough revenue to get NCIB take place in first priority ...
Or, I must be missing something that shorts are ahead of me in one step...
I'm still hanging there for dividends but not happy at all the way KWH trades every day....now..
Good luck to all value investors!

The proportion of shorts is small. Even during the attack their numbers weren't great but it doesn't take much to knock a company down with enough media help.  The shorts are waiting around for a distribution cut. Either that or a couple of bad quarters in a row.  There may actually be NOTHING WRONG but once a management team gets a bad name???????????? This adjusted team ...more

I have not shorted this stock for a while now, in fact I'm holding 3k from over bought in my last covering. These should have been sold when the price was higher 2 weeks ago . With anticipation that JE or other companies may put a bid to buy Crius , so let's see what is going to happen. Cheers

First off, I believe the rumors that JE will buy out Crius are fluff. Scool, I don't believe you started that rumor but you're promoting it along with others.  Look at JE's balance sheets and perspectus. They don't have access to enough cash to purchase Crius. If they did, they would do the same thing that was done when the billionaires took over. They will cut the ...more

There are definitely some real efforts being made to keep the price stagnant.  GLTA the good folks here
Comment by Sukhi19 on Jun 14, 2018 11:42am
What could be the aim? Is it to keep the yield above 11% so that subsequent cut in 2019, could help the shorts' cause? #79 has been buying after constant selling. Most probably investors no longer see growth in this aim. The attempt at NCIB was weak which also sends a positive signal to shorts.

Honestly speaking... i think its combination all these things and more ..  there are lots of nice and stable companies in the market right now at very attractive price. many real utility companies with assets.  Crius actually only had a name number and address book of people, they dont have any assets. they generate good cashflow, but they dont own anything real after all ...more

It's common practice for this sort of company to cut the distribution if the unit price isn't reacting favorably. They use the money for other investments, such as SOLAR.  This may be why the shorts are still in the game???? It's costing them though. This trust is either a screaming buy at this point or they're hiding something that is going to tank it and it isn't ...more

Bottom line is that this company has no assets. Hence they have nothing to fall back upon. Has been reducing my position for last two weeks. ALA below $25 was very hard to ignore.

Hello jodie, I won't recommend buying at this stage. It may be better to wait for Q2 and Q3 results and see which direction this company is taking. Staying away looks like a good option at the moment. There are better companies out there e.g. ALA, RNW, CPX. Good luck.

The 15th was the payout of distribution day. Today most people should have it in their accounts.  This likely shows up on their cash balance somewhere and it's having an effect.  This morning a block of 35k units was dumped right at opening, setting the trend for the day.  Hard to say what's causing the sell off buttttttttttttt.  As Sukhi says now is the ...more

Guys like Sukhi, are not the sole reason this is tumbling daily and he has lost his underwear in the market over the years buying those same companies he lists are 'better companies out there' because lets be honest if there were would he always be right back here ?  Take with a grain of salt anything you read on the message boards.  The only criminals controlling the ...more

Looks like capitulation by more shareholders every day now despite no material change in companies affairs.  Don't know what to make of it except the selling pressure must be  deliberate if the company is operating normally and there are no more ugly surprises to surface.  And I agree with the last poster.  Mgmt seems impotent to do anything about it despite all the ...more

In my view, it is about weightage. If KWH.UN is more than 5% of your portfolio, you may like to review your position.

1% is fine. ALA in my view presents the best opprtunity. It was a recent Top Pick. Link: https://stockchase.com/opinions/recenttop
