Hold tight

I for one was a buyer today along with all of the investors who bought the shares that some wanted to dump. I believe that today was a gift to long term holders of Crius , who before long will look back at these days with a smile on their faces. From all accounts , including analyst ratings, this is a solid company. Are there a few areas that need attention? Probably, but , so what? They have the ability to overcome short term issues . If there are indeed short attacks taking place, then sit tight and let the games play out.
If we see more weakness tomorrow, I will be buying again, but that's just me.
Each one of us has to be comfortable with their own investing approach!
I just don't like to see investors getting so scared that they sell at the wrong time.
Just my two cents!

When most of the analysts are rating it a “buy” fairly recently, and the only “hold” was because the knife is still falling, it’s something to consider. No “sell”s.

While the house has decided to squeeze a few shorts out, this is the very Best Time for cautious longs to trim down their holdings. One could never tell where the money would be going the next day.

This "CAUTIOUS" LONG BROUGHT 6000 More Shares... Let you "SHORTS" TRIM DOWN your HOLDINGS( Sell your COVERS) so US LONGS can Buy More at these Prices to HOLD ..tks

For sure.   Shorts are now covering in panic and they have been controlling the down and now up moves in the stock.  This type of volatility is not contributing anything but anxiety and fear for most holders including myself.  It's hard to stay calm in the face of this,  but  that's what I've tried to do and hope it works out in the end.   Feel sorry for ...more

There was one silver lining to the short attack. The shorters had to pay the distributions, which means Crius didn't have to. Likely saved them a substantial amount of cash.

How would that work? Crius doesn’t know who’s short. They know how many shares are issued. They don’t know who has them past Computershare. Computershare will record the new purchaser as the shareholder of record, and he will get his dividend. The LENDER will get stiffed, so the shorter  gets to pay a dividend to HIM. Crius saves nothing.

I don't see the lender getting stiffed. The lenders are unit holders. I don't see anyone getting a double distribution in this. Mind you, I will readily admit I am not familiar enough with how shorting payouts of distribution works.  I try to protect my investment by placing a sell offer of $15 on my units to keep them out of the hands of shorters. Not enough people do this.  ...more

The lender is no longer a shareholder in the Computershare records. When you short, the buyer of your borrowed shares takes title in the records. He doesn’t know they are borrowed, and has no reason to care. The lender needs to keep track of his shares and make sure he gets them back. He isn’t lending the div, just the share. When he gets the shares back, he could require payment of the divs ...more

Sadie, thanx for that.  nguyenB, I don't expect anything spectacular will be happening in the next quarter report.  What I do expect is that clarifications will be made concerning finacial concerns such as debt paydown, NCIB and maybe customer count or type of customers.  JE has had a recent increase in customer count. When word leaked out the share price spiked. As ...more

What Short Sellers Are on the Hook For In other words, if a company pays a dividend to shareholders, the second investor who bought the shares from the short seller would get the dividend check from the company. But because the original investor is no longer a shareholder of record (since the second investor owns those shares now), then the short seller must pay the dividend out of his or her ...more

Folks, if you haven't done so, put in a SELL ORDER for at least $12 on a LIMIT order. Make the "maximum" date the "good until" date.  This puts your units in play and can no longer be shorted. Someone has to cover if they're borrowing your units to short.  A couple of thousand units may not seem like much butttttttttttt it all helps to thwart a short ...more
