Shorters

It's a well meaning gesture but I've never seen that strategy ever work against a determined
short attack.  It would seem to make sense if all the longs would co-operate to stop the
shorters but for what ever reason,  it never seems to come about so I'm not optimistic on
this idea.  The best way to crush shorters is good company performance that encourages
investor interest and more buying than selling.   This company seems to be vulnerable to
manipulation and they seem unable to do anything about it and until that changes,  I remain
uneasy and concerned.  I haven't sold a share and I have bought a bit more but I need to
keep a limit on my exposure for sound portfoio management.

I've seen it work before but there were a lot of dedicated longs in constant communication. And it was short lived as 2008 happened shortly after. Cool watching the SP rise as SH put in their big asks, though.

I'm not saying it will turn a short attack around but it will make less units available for them to borrow without YOUR permission. That should be illegal IMHO.  I have managed to keep 65+k units out of the hands of the shorts. There are other unit holders on this site with a lot more units than I have. Institutions keep their units privately so they have to give specific permission to ...more

As they don't have to ask permission, what would be their risk if they borrow your shares knowing that they will never go up to 15$ in a foreseeable future? I don't get it. Can you explain? thank you

Looks like I stimulated a bit of debate.  I've never been a fan of shorters and as far as I'm concerned they should all be burned at the stake.   If you don't like a stock you own by all means sell it but to sell something you don't own and have no interest in owning it and want to see as much equity destruction as you can in order to profit seems a very mean and evil ...more

The price put on the units is purposely high so they won't sell. The reason for putting them for sale at such a high price is to keep them in YOUR control so THEY CAN'T BE LOANED WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION.  The shorts would have to purchase those units at full price to sell them into the market right away, pocket the money and cover later at a much lower price. The catch is, who will ...more

just to play devil's advocate why not allow shorters to drive the price down and buy cautiously (at intervals and at supports ) if you really believe in the stock?
Comment by Sadie222 on Jul 18, 2018 4:25pm
Well, personally, I’m short 5 digits to perform the 6 digit buy that would be needed!
Comment by deisman03 on Jul 18, 2018 5:08pm
Do you have to do it all on your own??????? Ten more like you could make quite a difference.

I have mine in. Your turn. Get some buddies (lots) lined up.

If I didn't believe in the trust, I wouldn't already own 65+k units
