goldman still selling

100 share increments at a time so another day on the sidelines for me.
Comment by uograd on Nov 19, 2018 10:10am
i lied.  Even though both morgan stanley and goldman are nipping out of their postion 100 share blocks at a time, 5.42 was too low to resist. 15% plus distribution works for me.

Wow you have 100 shares. Quite the mover and shaker

Insider trading informations as we know is not legal yet KWH is a "perfect example" of how people in the know let it run up knowing well before hand the financials;; No one will convince me that it was pure luck that the people in the know just got lucky and sold the other day we had the melt down ;; Securitys people get paid handsomely to over see these situations but seldom do they ...more

Agreed Predawn.  Same group shorting down.  Frustrating but it gives me a little hope seeing that it's the big boys (Morgan Stanley, Merrill-Lynch and Goldman) among many others.  They're buying/selling so I think at some point they'll fully accumulate and start driving it up.  Shorting should be illigal as it defies all logic of metrics and snowballs on fear ...more

Personally, I don't short. Mostly because I don't like that GOOD companies can be driven to closing their doors by unregulated/unscrupulous shorters.  I don't see a lot of that going on here. The shorts had a couple of perfect scenarios building up just over a year ago. SOLAR was a LOSER as soon as the energy regulators were taken to court over the unfair subsidies and business ...more

Nice bit of info D3.  I'm still considering solar as well. Found panels for under $.8 a Watt, so they've dropped alot but still a big jump and I'm a northerner so payback might be tough. Still, would be great to get off grid and get rid of that bill.
Comment by deisman03 on Nov 21, 2018 11:38am
You really need to look into it further. Maintenance on the system is ongoing and NOT CHEAP.  I sat down with the panel/inverter supplier and made him crunch the numbers to include upkeep on the system such as battery longevity and panel deterioration. Turns out the panels DO deteriorate as their surfaces oxidize. In the end costs averaged 50% more on average over a long term than just ...more

All very good to know.  Thanks.

The price is really being manipulated right now. Some heavy hitters are dumping hundreds of thousands of units or at least trading them back and forth between themselves.  A more astute friend of mine feels it may be part of a last ditch tax grab, where they can claim the loss but still end up with the units in their possession at a later date when they buy back at the same or slightly ...more

I guess its just plain coincedance the drop happened after bad earnings. Yeah, just ignore cold hard facts and go with some magical unicorn traders with endless money to lose. Like the shorts who do not exist since theres barely any shorts in the float. Its nothing at all to do with the facts. Stock just manipulated by magic. Buy now and get 5 magic beans as a bonus.

Your anxiety is showing again.  The last financial report was actually better than I thought it would be.  Folks looking for PIE IN THE SKY would be disappointed. I'm not looking for PIE IN THE SKY.  I'm looking for a return to profitability and the positive increase in earnings looks like that is happening.  If you seriously believe any company can just turn ...more

I agree with you. Last quarter was step in right direction. Solar will be gone. The books will turn healthy over time. In the meanwhile, keep collecting divvy. It is safe and that is all that everyone should care about. The stock price was going to go down because of the results were bad. It's expected. GLTA

No one pays 15% plus. New Year they will say "market is not valuing us fairly so we had to cut the div to match market" or something along that line plus some "unexpected charges". Whatever happens, how many companies have you ever known to pay 15% for more than one quarter?
Comment by deisman03 on Nov 22, 2018 2:40am
That could easily happen but you forget, they have to change their business type if they do that. As and income trust, they have to pay out a specified ratio of cash flow.  They have INCREASED cash flow.  They made a serious mistake when they bought Solar. From what I see, they're still reluctant to get rid of all of it. Likely, their new director and his bosses are fixing that ...more
