Q1 Distribution

The press release says:

"In addition to the purchase price, Crius Energy unitholders will receive Crius Energy's previously-declared distribution for the first quarter of 2019 in the amount of C$0.209 per unit for total consideration in the amount of C$7.779 per unit." 

Is the record date for that distribution still 5/31/2019 or is it locked in only for unitholders at the time of the purchase announcement?

I don't think anything is "locked in." It is not explicit in the press release, but the deal is expected to close in Q2, so I am guessing that in order to qualify for the Q1 dividend to be paid June 15th, you will need to hold until at least May 31, the ExDiv date. If that is the case, you can hold for four more months to pick up the dividend plus the few cents between current market ...more
