Ontario

So just to clarify...the stores in Ontario are not safe? I have a lot on the line like many of the others and am wondering if I should be seeking employment elsewhere?

Maybe start reading on your benefits, check out the short term leave until you can figure out things. No one will buy into Ontario or Manitoba or the Territories and so on. The only profiting branches are the branches in the West. Read up on your benefits ASAP!

There is a buyer for some stores in Ont.  As far as tryinbg to go on benefits? Easier to find a new job.

Non-management staff do not have short term leave. Only long term is offered to full time FCSR's. The short term is only offered to branch managers and corporate staff and it only pays sixty-six and a half percent of weekly earnings. Full time FCSRs are better off waiting for EI if they qualify or to find another job. All the best to you in all provinces that are only open for collection.

Can you clarify what you meant by "all the best to you in all provinces that are only open for collections", please? thanks

Ontario cash stores and instaloans are only open to allow cx to come and settle loc - however those clients have a 12 month contract so by law Ontario should not be collecting the branches are open because if they close whilst in CCAA they have to pay Ontario the severance ect - the company has no intention of paying us anything

Does anyone actually answer anyone anymore on this page or am I wasting my time. I asked for clarification on something but didn't get an answer. Seems like people are just opting speculations and nothing more. If you have credible info why not post it instead of making us read between lines. CSF does enough of that already.

it seems you are still living with hope Ontario csf is going to start again - its not - ever FACT There is interest for some Ontario branches but unsure of which ones. If csf go bankrupt there will be no severance if they stay in CCAA they can lay off for up to 35 weeks

What about the other provinces that aren't lending?
Comment by Renterab on Jun 19, 2014 1:25pm
Sorry for the late reply. I really hope that people or other companies are interested in purchasing Ontario and other provinces that are temporarily on hold from lending. I really do not know and I can only speculate from what I read.
