Tariffs
I'm tired of the tariff talk and this ridiculous 51st state business, just do what you want to do with the tariffs and let's see how it works out on both sides of the border. I find it sickening that we grovel to the leader of a country we see as a friend but who sees us simply as a resource.

Canada as country only existed because before 1945 was crown asset of the British Empire. and British bankrolled the expansion of US companies and US expansion. in 1900, the British Empire or military was more powerful than the US army

There is a reason British Columbia was called 'BRITISH" it was so US could not just claim the territories. US bought Alaska from Russia for $1. okay, Either they sell it or the Americans just take it and claim it and put a military post there.

Canada became a self governing country in 1867 following the passage of the British North American Act which united the individual British colonies that existed at that time and enabled western expansion.

Hey jammed log the Con-serv-themselves did nothing to further Oil, Gas & NGL pipelines under Harper. It was/is Trudeau & Notley !! So if you looking to criticize a party that lacks foresight try "turning around in front of a mirror & take a look at your backside".

Are you telling me that the U.S. doesn't benefit from it trade with Canada? Canadian oil exports to the U.S. are discounted $10-20 per barrel. That's a pretty sweet deal. I guess you forgot about the financial crisis. A lower Canadian $ is a boon to resource companies that sell their products in U.S.$
