What happened to the strategic alliance with Canac

Here is something I would like to understand better about DLKM.
On May 8 2007, they terminated a merger agreement with Canaco (CAN.V).
In that same release they also referred to an ongoing strategic alliance in which they were SHARING ownership of all their Tanzanian properties with CAN.V.

"Both Canaco and Douglas Lake are emerging junior exploration companies and have previously entered into a Strategic Alliance Agreement to collaborate in the exploration of mineral properties in the United Republic of Tanzania.  Together, the companies have exploration assets consisting of 31 properties representing a total 9,788 km2, or 2.1% of the available mineral rights in Tanzania.  These properties constitute a wide variety of prospects and mineral potential within the north, northwest and central Tanzania.  The properties contain no known mineral reserves, but Douglas Lake believes that the portfolio is predominantly prospective for gold, with additional potential for diamonds and other gemstones, as well as base metals.

Does anybody here know what happened to that strategic alliance? How come it doesn't cover Mbwemkuru? Or does it? Or is there an announcement I missed that explains what I am missing here?

I see the dude from Canaco is on the board of Douglas Lake. Yet I see no mention of Canaco in the announcements about the new alluvial gold land, or in the announcement of funding by China.

Serious reponses would be appreciated.

right, nothing has been posted as to any change in the strategic alliance between DLKM & CAN....that is not to say there may not be some changes made in coming months.....for further info call IR....John Dahle 866-734-7026

Nowhere in that quote does it say that we are "SHARING" ownership of anything.  The words "collaborate" and "increasing synergies" are as close as you'll get.  Also, the agreement more than likely covers only those properties in the portfolio at that time.  Since then, CAN has acquired rights to other areas in Tanzania that
