Conversation with Douglas CEO

I sent out an email to Harp sharing my concerns of their corporate communications.  I offered some recommendations that were well received.  The most important recommendation was to have an open conference call with the market to take investor questions and to discuss operations.  Harp told me on the phone today that he is taking me up on that suggestion.  What we should see is a press release sometime next week to detail the time and date of the conference call for the following week (Dec 1- 5).  He intends to open with a statement and then take calls.  The call will take place from Tanzania and he intends on having Ross McMaster of Tanzminex answering questions concerning the property Mkuvia.  I felt this would be a great way to let investors air their dirty laundry, learn more about the operation and get an idea where the company is headed.

I also discussed some of the confusion generated by the statement of "projects were tabled" and what they had meant.  Apparently Harp has been working with some large companies interested in their other properties in Tanzania.  We may hear more about them in coming weeks.

Thanks a lot..........knew you'd be the one who'd call.  This is good news and hopefully the conference call will put to rest any uneasiness some of us have.  I bought a chunk of shares last Friday and since I'm in for the long haul, I feel sure the huge profits are still there sometime in the future.

Nice action and good news, Toby!Nevertheless, I saw you posted the message about the CC November the 18th, while it is currently already December...I know you are not the person I should ask it to, but do you maybe have any follow up regarding the scheduled call? Too bad Harp again isn't following up his promises (yet), while he should know by now it is really important for investor confidence ...more

I followed up with Harp and asked when the CC would be.  He told me that the rainy season has come early to Tanzania and had some travel issues.  Harp told me that he still intends announce the CC this week for next week.

Nice news, thanks Toby!Hopefully we'll see some output of Harps intentions within 2 weeks!  (Maybe I'm zooming in too much, but I have the tendency to let my judgement of the company even be influenced by whether or not Harp gives following to these small promises, as I am still not fully sure yet of what's there :)
