Douglas Lake Minerals Inc > Question for anyone about the 43-101

Question for anyone about the 43-101

Just out of curiosity, what is the big deal about the 43-101 anyways?  What will it tells us that we do not already know? Is there something that I am missing that is going to be in the 43-101 that we really dont already know now? Wasn't the Project review that Ross did basically the 43-101?  Is this what we need to get official mining license, is that what the 43-101 is all about?

Can someone help explain to me the purpose and benefit of the 43-101.

Thanks

Simply put... ACCOUNTABILITY and CREDIBILITY!!The purpose of a National Instrument 43-101 is to ensure that fraudulent, misleading and erroneous information relating to mineral properties is not published or promoted to investors on stock exchanges overseen by the Canadian Securities Administration. - Wikipedia

With the 43-101 we can then apply for a mining permit which makes getting financing much easier.

Thanks Urban.. So basically if the same info that Ross reported already is now in a 43-101 we should be fine?

43-101 has nothing to do with the mining license. simply a B.C. sec requirement. the tanzanian goverment could care less bout the 43-101 But Harp lives in B.C. so this must be done.

NI43-101s provide suckers some measure of protection against scams. Canada (whose mining industry was just about ruined10 years ago by a big scam, BRE-X) put this into place to provide this protection. Exploration companies are supposed to limit what they say as far as number of oz go to what is in one of these reports. It provides a report provided by an independent guy whose career (reputation ...more

What are your feelings as to how the market will react to the 43-101. Lets assume that it is a well written technical report that makes the property sound very promising and as believed contains no qunatifiable numbers. Will the market react positively to that or will it be viewed as another non event  leaving the SP relatively unaffected?Any educated opinions?

It'll be another non-event.I think the only news that will really move this stock would be 1) clear indication that the whole thing is a bustor2) a buyout

It is true that the JORC compliant report is what the Tanzanian government needs to grant a mining license.  The ML should be relatively quick as my understanding is southern Tanzanians are getting to the point of starvation and need work/money.  Most of the site seeing areas are in the north so with 3rd world revenue down, the poorer regions are suffering. The 43-101 should have ...more

Toby, I am curious to know if there is a sound reason to why DLKM would under value the grade of the gold at Mkuvia or an explanation of why they are coming up with .30g/m^3..    From what you saw and your comparison to Houston.. i'm boggled

I don't want to speculate until I see the report.  Perhaps there are a number of dry holes or the BCSC threw out some high grade; I don't know.My understanding is most of the samples were obtained by picking out gold flakes under visual magnification.  This is essentially what I did in getting my roughly 34 gold flakes from the concentrate I brought home (photo in the report ...more

Toby- Agree on the intentionally conservative numbers. And I'm fine with that all things considered. Btw, I believe they're going to sluice and won't use concentrator for production- that's what Laurie stated in Chicago anyway. Is that accurate? I could be mistaken.Des- thanks. Yes they've messed up- but sincere about want it to work! I think the greatest risk is getting ...more

The June 16 News Release would seem to indicate that ONLY gold that was observablewas calculated in the .30 g/m^3 average that was released under BCSC scrutiny. "The compilation of all heavy mineral and gold results has been completed by TMEx staff in laboratory conditions at Arusha, Tanzania, which included separating and weighing the gold recovered from each sample where measurable gold ...more
