More on Canaco and Sonora

Latest from the Canaco Board re: Sonora Gold & Silver claims

Note the statement regarding DLKM. Sounds like some kind of insider posting.

"SOC hasnot had any response to their fax to the Commissioner of Mines. They areworking on their website to show the location of their claim. Theyconfirm that it would be very difficult for Can to develop a viableopen pit mine without the SOC claim just as SOC could not do muchwithout the CAN lands.. They cannot do a deal with CAN until CAN givesthem up to date drill results on the SOC claim and CAN is not willing todo that. CAN is presently not drilling from the SOC claim. CAN hassecurity on site, SOC does not but they have a geologist and techniciansthere..
The land around their claim is owned by CAN except to theeast which is owned by Douglas lake minerals who are a quasi partner ofCAN. CAN has first option to buy much of their Tanzanian lands so SOC could not use the land to the east for any mining efforts.
SOC would like to get a good piece of cashfrom CAN and a bunch of CAN stock which would be restricted to someextent. The cash will be used to explore the Negese claims and repay theItalians loan. I suggested $10,000,000 in cash and they thought thatwould be a lovely sum if they can get it. Sounds very confident butthat is not surprising as he feels that they have CAN over theproverbial barrel. Probably 90% of CAN's market cap is due to theMagambazi claim.
They are overwhelmed with calls from the media, shareholders, etc. Everybody but Nick and the Commissioner!"

If Canoco is not willing to publish the drill results, the calls will continue, I am sure.

The resolution of the dispute may provide somewhat of a market-based valuation of Canaco's property. That can't be bad for DLKM. _____________ I am only a soc shareholder. SOChas not stated they have the mining lease - the land holder has themining lease. Soc has the exclusive option to purchase both. SOC does not have to put out a nr on the meeting on the ...more

Maybe. Scuttlebutt out of Tanzania is the leases/licenses are owned by a relatively prominent politician, with SOC in a signed agreement to purchase those leases/licenses from him. CAN was drilling or drilled on that property, owner found out and filed a grievance with the MOM. This should get interesting as details are released.  One SOC insider just forked over at least $279,804 to purchase ...more
