Ugh!

Remind me to rid my portfolio of all stocks in April/May of 2012. This is the last year I'm holding anything through summer. It's just not good for my health and well-being LOL.

LOL!  I told my wife the same thing the other day.  It was nice traveling for a couple months because I wasn't aware of the bleeding.  There are great buys out there...just no enough money right now.I also had this thought.  If market conditions don't change then the drill results will not be met with similar buyer response as Canaco did during their run last year.  ...more

Unfortunately, when I looked into my crystal ball, first it laughed at me, then cursed the market, then rolled itself off the table and smashed itself on the floor. I'm not taking that as an omen yet though...not until the drill results anyhow...

JJ- Welcome Back! You should have stayed away from the ticker for another month! ;-)Theory: This is just game-playing by the institutions pushing it down; hedging their bets and favoring their clientele while the assays are pending. Hang tough gang and pray for good gold in those holes.

About two weeks ago, I checked my impeccably kept records (yeah, I'm a freak) back to 1997, and only ONCE did I come out ahead in the June-July-August time frame, in 2003, with a whopping 5.7% gain - and that was probably a fluke LOL. The other 14 years were losses in the range of 10-35%. That is not to say I did not make profits in those years on a full 4Q basis, but it certainly supports the ...more

Fishing and gardening seems to be much more productive during those months and definitely more relaxing.
