a prediction

Andy Smith will own this asset, and he will bring HS, Craig Alford and Dan Kunz as chairman to manage this asset. the coca cola chairman has been a failure. Sugered water and mining makes perfect sense...wtf

A joint venture with Canaco would be the best thing for everyone involved.  Canaco has 100m in the bank, drilling rigs all over the place and are running out of good targets and DLKM has an abundance of targets and needs to raise capital in 2012.  Menghi needs to get to Andrew Smith into a room and hash out a deal.  Can you imagine what a huge gold find this ...more

not going to happen canaco has a market cap of 267 mil today dont be surprised if dlkm is greater that canaco by the end of this summer,   you are going to be very happy with your investment by the end of this summer

w256mgr I appreciate your enthusiasm.  Nik, I believe that deal on the Magambazi trend would be interesting and probably more enticing for somebody to buy.  It's way too early but an interesting discussion none the less.  It will be interesting to see how that project area plays out over the next 1 -2 years.  Can somebody explain to me how this fundraising is going to go ...more

A dual listing is OK, but just hope its not an IPO on the SA exchange where they vend in all the assets of Douglas Lake for 60, 70, 80% of the new issue (it can actually be any percentage - even 10%). Went through this recently with BNTNF and everybody on this side of the pond got royally screwed.

I don't think it will be an IPO i cant see Mengi doing anything to hurt the performance of the stock here he has 135,000,000 shares he wants them to go up in value not down. that is the whole idea behind this concept is to raise more capital but don't dilute the share value.   they are working hard to turn around the mistakes of the past I beleve we will be rewarded.
Comment by JJ40 on Jan 25, 2012 6:29pm
How is capital raised without adding shares?  Where do the 15 mil. shares come from?  Could they be the 15 mil shares from the other piece of property that Mengi sold?
Comment by w256mgr on Jan 25, 2012 7:07pm
$15millon dollars worth of shares at 40 cents a share on a the south African stock market so it doesn't dilute our north American base
Comment by stockarchangel on Jan 25, 2012 8:09pm
There HAS to be some asset behind those 37.5 million shares. No one is going to give them $15 million for worthless paper, hence there HAS to be dilution.
Comment by Yukon_Cornelius on Jan 25, 2012 8:18pm
It doesn't HAVE to be dilutive- IF Menghi peels off the shares from his own holdings of 150?mm shares. That would be a win/win and wise for Menghi's own asset value. Like everything here- wait and see.
Comment by tanzdevil on Jan 25, 2012 9:37pm
JJ40, The simple fact is that if management needs to raise new capital, they have to sell shares, which means a dillution. This is not the problem. The problem is where has the money gone? . DLKM cannot keep on spending all its money and then try and raise capital when the share price is at its lowest. This is stupidity in its purest form
Comment by w256mgr on Jan 25, 2012 9:48pm
Tanz since Harp has left the money has been spent very prudently trust me. Harp spent 60 mil without one drill hitting the ground we had 3 drilling rigs going on 15 mil we are in much better hands

Tanzdevil - What would you suggest? Read over the last 10Q and you'll see almost $3,000,000 in exploration costs in the last quarter (I'm assuming its drilling ). As far as the rest of the speculation goes, a South African exchange was suggested here for an added listing, now East African. Regardless, they'll have to put the entire asset (DLKM) into the dual listing. I probably have no ...more

not south Africa listing, east, that would be the DSM exchange. and it would likely be the listing of douglas' tanzanina subsiduary. And its Mengi's connectons to the local pension funds that are heavy to cash that would  particpate. our douglas would still trade otc
Comment by stockarchangel on Jan 26, 2012 2:48pm
OK, the exchange is irrelevant. The mechanism of who, what, and how much goes to that exchange is what's important. If it is the subsidiary, which we currently own 100% of, and where ALL of our assets are currently living, then it WILL be dilutive because you're issuing new stock which will NOT be owned by DLKM.
