Looks like he bought 150,000 units so 150,000 shares and 75,000 warrants on the prospectus deal and another 46200 shares in the market. Always good to see insiders buying

Does this mean that Delta 9 had already exhausted the NCIB?
Comment by Debentures on Dec 24, 2020 10:12am
All NCIB buys by the company need to be reported under SEDI as stock is being added back to the treasury. There are companies who get NCIB approval to appease shareholders and do not buy back shares.  As of today, there have been 0 NCIB buys else you would see it filed to the public. This further leads to questions around D9 cash flow and profitability. Afterall, if your business is ...more

You missed my underlying concern.  If Delta 9 all of a sudden goes hogwild buying up DN under the NCIB at prices higher than this insider's buy price...then I have a little ethical problem with that.  Wouldn't that be some form of front-running?  At the expense of fellow shareholders?  If the CEO thinks the SP is a deal, doesn't his fiduciary duty to shareholders ...more

I would think that the filing on the NCIB would be behind by a quarter, like how BRK.B discloses how many buybacks they do a quarter....not in real time. Buybacks is the company buying( and cancelling) stock. Insider buys are John himself buying stock to increase his ownership (NOT cancelled). I'm also fairly certain that he must disclose his purchase well beforehand, and the price at the ...more

GolfYeti has no idea what he's talking about.. means well but he's making up hypothetical ethics issues.  Insiders would need to file in advance or on designated days. NCIB has a max amount of shares you can buy per day. Roughly 40k (I could be wrong but it's small).  Nothing issue. From the stance of a buyback why wouldn't the company post SEDI reports as a venture ...more

John's recent buys have been medial to say the least. Insider buys need to be approved prior. The NCIB  inflating share price is already compliant. This type of purchase is capped at amounts already stated. I don't understand your logic.. you're worried about John buying 30k shares and the NCIB running up price of a max allowed buy of 40k shares a day by the company

I see what you're saying here, definitely safe to say there prob wont be any near term buy back seeing as they just had to issue shares to raise funds for something.  In which case there wouldnt be an ethical dilemma as obv management feels they need every dollar available to execute their plans.
