My New Year's Wish

My wish for this year is that the COVID lockdowns and limitations are lifted and DN is forced to hold a face-to-face AGM.  John and management need to look investors in the eye and explain why their business strategy has consistently failed long term shareholders and draws absolutely no market interest.

how can a company that has only traded for a couple of years on the public market be failing long term shareholders? If you are trading daily, weekly, or monthly you need to re evaluate what you are considering a long term hold. "Forever" is always the ideal holding period, at least in Warren Buffett's battle-tested investing philosophy. If you can't hold that stock forever ...more

The company has been trading for over 3 years. By long term I was referencing anyone that had bought the ipo in 2017 or anytime in the run up to legalization in 2018... it doesn't really matter though as the same applies to anyone that bought in 2019... or even part of 2020 for that matter. Throughout that time the share price has only declined while others went higher. Additionally average ...more

Agree..I think the company's IR  has not been up to par...CEO overly optimistic with statements

Which statements do you feel have been overly optimistic? In what way do you feel IR is dropping the ball?  I feel they've reported pretty accurately on all the comings and goings of the company which is exactly what IR is supposed to do.

Latest one.  Announcement of d pods with sales to be  signed by weekend... Several weeks ago...nothing since

I recall them saying they officially beginning to take sales but don't recall any official statment that that had signed anyone.  Just that they were in negotiations with the local government and the Winnepeg Jets I believe.  Given the holiday season I think it's pretty reasonable that we won't hear anything new about D-Pods until sometime in the new year.  Takes time to ...more

they announced the pods Nov.25th if you call that "several Weeks".  Then time does fly now does it.  Bring your Agame.

Oh come now, if you're excluding all the folks that made money in the run up to the end of 2018 and just want to look at 2019 to 2020 then those people have been holding for what between 1 and 2 years, that's hardly holding "forever" without gains.  You're being a little melodramitic.   Buffet's style is very much to find an undervalued company with ...more

Can you explain why you feel DN has, "consistently failed long term shareholders"?   From my perspective it's been consistently good news for the last 2 years almost with the exception of the recent write down.  Maybe the recent dilution depending how the money is spent but DN's previous aquistions have been good so I have no reason to doubt this round of ...more
