also keep this page...each week they have a reporter that does "This Week in Mining" updates...she is actually pretty sharp as a reporter and understands the issues.

What a waste of time for these people. The Government has already made a decision on Duluth.It will go through the process for optics but its a done deal. Its underground and not open pit. Look who is on the board and Platinum and Palladium seal the deal. The tree huggers are toast on this one.

The BWCAW would be one giving DM trouble. They were signing petitions at the most recent meeting I went to, where a lot of their supporters showed up, and they asked everyone passing to sign. I said no. They are completely opposed to polymet and DM opening. I asked one guy if it was possible to do it safely if 50% of all waste rock was put back in the underground mine(because rock expands when ...more

I call it the "greentard movement". It does not matter what precautions are put in place to ensure environmentally sound practices and common sense also does not come into the picture for these people. They are against resource development - end of story. Don't ask them where they will get all the products that contain nickel, copper and other resources - they have not put a lot of ...more

I bet they all arrived in vehicles running on oil copper palladium and platinum. Also nickel.
