Kiel: Dream Global prepares Post site for 800 apartments

Dream Global REIT from Canada is preparing the redevelopment of another inner-city area, which it acquired as part of the Deutsche Post portfolio 2011: 600 to 800 apartments are to be built on the 5-hectare Posthof site in the Gaarden district of Kiel. A concept created by Planquadrat, which is currently being presented to the local advisory council, includes a five to seven-story building and also a 15-storey building. Although local politicians unanimously welcomed the plans for the residential buildings, the high-rise proposal was received with scepticism. The lease with the Post on the site between Werftstrae, Karlstal and Schulstrae continues until mid 2018.
