RE:Selling after ex divvy date

Time to reload. Sellers are nuts selling under $8.00. August dividend should be higher than July's based on trading at the end of July of the holdings. I was buying today. GLTU

Actually , the distibution is based on te volume -weighted average price of the last 3 trading days of JULY,, and that comes out to about 8.12 or so. If you divide .812 ( 10%) by 12 months you get about the same amount as last month, about  .0677 div per share .

That would translate to an annualized dividend slighly higher than 10% based on current price. Not bad in todays turmoil market.

Yes steady income of around 10% and not a spit fund, so no threshhold where you dont receive a distribution , which is what is happening to DF, from Quadravest. Holders of regular DF shares wont receive a distribution because its under 15 $ for the units. DS a much better bet , with many of the same stocks , and trades a tiny premium to NAV of about  10 pennies with the NAV up at 7.90 as of ...more
