You imagine you're getting screwed because for some reason you think you're entitled to get rich on this. You aren't because you aren't. The deal is fine, we will come out ahead (do the math) ... unless the buyout fails, in which case ENF becomes a lame former-receiver of ENB dropdowns. .

I don’t see how we come out ahead. My math says we don’t. I’d be happier if they’d based on an averaged price, the twohave dipped and doodled at different rates for the last several months. At the date chosen, ENF was dipped more than ENB. Averaging brings the ratio up, as I demonstrated. I’d be happier with that, and more likely to suck up the div change without moaning too much since I’m not ...more

I'm doing smoething similar, except converting to ALA Instead of getting 0.7 ENB shares for each ENF, I can sell my ENF at a small loss (my b/e is same as yours), and effectively get 1.15 shares of ALA for each ENF. This increases (not decreases) my dividend to just about 10% :-) Whatyda think of that? Cheers, -RK

A pox on all these energy companies-- buy BBDb or GOOS. Mine have almost doubled this year. Heck, even CCO is up recently after a short-sell campaign.
