fair trade ratio = 0.7573 ?
I'm overdue looking at what the fair trade ratio should be after the new offer from ENB. To anyone else who has calculated it, does 0.7573 seem about right after adjusting the 0.7350 to include the cash component (which also includes the bonus ENB dividend, or a part thereof)?
I calculated mine under the assumption that the deal will be completed before the mid-November ex-div for ENB.

The deal is done and is fair. Greediness will only result in no deal and ENF shares will plummet. The ratio is very representative of the equivalent value of a ENB share and we get better growth prospects.

YOU HAD BETTER DO SOME MORE MATH AND FIGURE IN THE COMPOUNDING OF MONTHLY DIVIDENDS

Enb dividend will continue to rise, enf will not as it has no growth without raising equity and acquiring. Your assumption that enf continues to raise its dividend leads to an incorrect conclusion.

Enf has no growth in its future other than line 3 and has a very high payout ratio (75%). Enb has a decade of growth projects ahead of it a 55% payout ratio. This is a no brainer to vote YES. The liquids pipelines are a cash flow jewel but there is far greater growth in the US gas assets.

I agree, enb offer is fair, do you want the growth in shareprice and dividends or no growth ?
