Noise

I hear a lot of "I thinks" and "I believes"  but that and $2 will buy you a coffee at Tim's.  The reality is, no one knows for sure what either group will do, especially the concerned shareholders.  And speculating on things they will do that will benefit the company is just that speculation, unless they have come out and said they would.  The reality to me is, the concerned shareholders are doing a lot of finger pointing but no answering.  A lot of their comparison to market value is also misleading.  If the share price goes up then those ratio's will come down.  A depressed stock price works to their advantage in that kind of comparison.

I've been sitting on the fence for a while, leaning towards the concerned shareholders.  Given todays news release, I've decided to stick with the devil I know as opposed to the devil I don't.  Yellow for me.

Cheers.

should have done this sooner Now, with lower oil prices prevailing, Eagle has embarked on additional G&A reduction initiatives aimed at further material reductions.  Eagle's plan is comprehensive and includes cost reductions targeting office and overhead, corporate travel, a review of all employee and Board compensation and potential staff reductions.  As a first step, within ...more

Great news. DO NOT VOTE the dissidents' blue proxy.

"Eagle intends to implement material reductions in executive compensation, including materially reducing the CEO's compensation." Closing the barn door after the horse has bolted. The CEO's compensation was rediculously high and the disidents made an issue of this. If they hadn't made an issue, then there would have been no change. Of course all Eagles management have said ...more

I love the way posters try to imply they know what the future holds.  As if that is the only outcome by sticking with the current management.  The reality is nobody knows squat about what tomorrow brings.  Everyone here has a 50/50 chance of being right or wrong.  What I do know is, regardless of the details, an independant body (ISS) has said they feel shareholders should vote ...more

Based on a combination of mismanagement and the commodity price, it's doubtful you'll have an opportunity to vote next year.

True, Stockhudson. Nothing like paying someone to set all of this "fake news" straight - only to have it backfire and result in a conclusion that rules against you. If current politics have it right, management's next move is to turn to twitter.
